HOW OFTEN WILL I RECEIVE PROMPTS? WHEN WILL THEY ARRIVE?

Two times per week. You set the delivery time when signing up. The delivery days for each conversation type are fixed, which are:

  • Couples - Tuesday and Friday
  • Parent-Child - Monday and Thursday
  • Friends - Wednesday and Saturday
  • Siblings - Thursday and Sunday
HOW DOES PROMPTLY TEXTS KEEP TEXTS BETWEEN PARTICIPANTS SECURE AND PRIVATE?

As explained in the Promptly Texts service’s Terms of Use, we rely on leading technology partners, Stripe and Twilio, to ensure the security of our users’ data. Further, our development team maintains strict rules to ensure the privacy of users’ data.

IS THIS SERVICE APPROPRIATE FOR A TEEN?

The Parent-Child and Siblings conversations are aimed at adult-aged participants. They could be suitable for a mature teenager, but a user must be over the age of 13 to sign up for and participate in the service.

CAN I SIGN UP WITH A PHONE NUMBER FROM OUTSIDE THE U.S.?

Not yet. For now, the service is only available for U.S. and Canadian phone numbers.

CAN I PAUSE MY SUBSCRIPTION AND RESUME AGAIN LATER?

Not yet. We’ll offer this option with a future update.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION?

In the conversation you wish to cancel, reply with the command “CANCEL.” You won’t be billed again after your subscription period ends. To stop receiving prompts altogether after canceling, please contact our team at texts@promptlyjournals.com to request this update.

Where do the Promptly bot’s prompts come from? Do they change based on the conversation participants’ responses?

The Promptly Texts service was inspired by Promptly Journals’ line of Connection Journals, which enables two people to strengthen their relationship through shared journaling. The prompts are conceived for each conversation, written by the Promptly team, chiseled into shape, and sequenced to optimize prompt variety. Thus, the prompts don't change based on the conversation participants' responses.

What happens if my conversation participant or I don’t respond to prompts?

However you and your conversation participant respond, you will receive a prompt two times a week. You can respond to a prompt at any time – right after you receive it, weeks later or you can just pass.

CAN I ADD MORE PEOPLE TO MY PROMPTLY TEXTS CONVERSATION?

No. The Promptly Texts service is designed to foster a connection between two people. The way we share information and feelings with one person is very different from the way we interact with a group of people. If you’d like to participate in conversations with more of your loved ones, consider signing up for additional conversations.
