My husband and I recently started using this journal, and so far, we’re really enjoying it! It’s a wonderful way to encourage thoughtful reflection, open communication, and meaningful conversations about our relationship.
I especially appreciate the prompts, which encourage us to look at both ourselves and our relationship more intentionally.
My only complaint is the size, for which I removed one star. I wish the journal were a bit larger, with more room to write. Some of the questions deserve more than just a few lines, and I find myself having to limit my thoughts or write much smaller than I’m able to.
Overall, it’s a lovely concept and a worthwhile tool for couples who want to stay connected and continue growing together. A larger format would make it even better!
My spouse and I started our relationship by writing letters to each other (we were long-distance), and this journal has brought back a similar feeling of getting to know each other. It provides quiet reflection on our dynamic, what we love about each other, and what we've built together, and it has us feeling really connected. I love the time this journal ask me to take, to sit & think about my relationship with my husband. It brings up great memories, helps me discover things I did not know & gives me a better understanding of how his perspectives differ. I love how often his answers aren’t what I expected.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. I wasn’t really sure he would be interested in doing a journal. We have done other “couples” books, where you read then talk through questions, and he never liked them. Much to my surprise, he very much enjoys it and is fully committed to do it. Every Thursday after the babies to bed, we do the prompts for the week. It has been really beneficial in adding more emotional intimacy to our lives and helps when you don’t always know what to talk about other than “how was your day”. We are 5 weeks in and going strong. After adding two more little feet to our family this Loom Couples Journal is the perfect way to keep our communication flowing. We love having this journal out in our living room so we can take a little time each week to write in a section whenever we feel prompted to do so Sunday nights we share our thoughts with each other and discuss our plans for the upcoming week. I got this for my husband for Christmas. I felt like this past year we got used to just being at home, being parents to a 1 year old, and when we did have free time for ourselves we found we were spending it working on our individual hobbies or likes. We spent time with each other but we also didn’t make much time to do dates at home or talk specifically about our relationship. When we started this book this year, it has been helpful to see how we each feel about things. It has sparked conversations that we normally wouldn’t think to initiate on our own. It’s been fun to see what he writes and he loves reading my responses. Because of this book, we take the time to talk and do no media nights where we just spend time together free of distractions. I would recommend this book to anyone who feels like they are missing having those needed conversations with their spouse and want an easy way to start them. You’ll learn so much about your spouse too. I’m still learning :)
My husband does not like to write/journal. I've learned to be patient with him as we've made this a part of our marriage. But oh how worth the wait it is! Whenever he takes the time to fill out his side.. I feel so much connection and gratitude. I'm grateful to hear what he shares and to have a space to share with him. It's just such an amazing way to connect. And I fully believe every single couple would be blessed by owning and using this journal. Like where was this when I was cluelessly buying wedding gifts?!
Love this so much. I have been married for 9 years and together for 14. We have two kids and life is crazy but we take a few minutes each week to just write connect and appreciate one another.
